I've heard many stories like that about Brandon over the years. For a long time I was critical of his play, at least his hitting, but his reputation for giving back to the community and being a solid clubhouse guy always balanced the equation. It's nice to see his numbers improve and to know he's being recognized for it.

Thanks for the read Nick. Hopefully we can catch up at the ballpark soon.

My lady is an admin at The U of M hospital, and there were many emails encouraging votes from any and all employees to hurry up and vote Inge to the All-Star team. He is loved at the hospital for hours upon hours of time donated to spending time with the sick children and he is a generous contributor to Motts Children Hospital. He has many supporters because he is a class act!

Brandon can now brag that more people voted for him to go to the All-Star game than for any AL player ever.

Brandon Inge is an All-Star. Isn't that the fourth sign of the apocalypse?

Seriously though, if that doesn't make you feel good you don't have a pulse. All that he's has been through, losing his job twice and coming back like he has. Finally listening to coaches and making adjustments at the plate. And what an effort by the team and fans to make it happen.

I'm sure Granderson and the others feel great about their selections, but I'd guess that having happen the way it did has got to mean more to Inge than if Joe Maddon had picked him to be there.
